Strawberry Hill Pre-School


All of our staff are CRB checked and will all be trained in SAFEGUARDING, SEND, FIRST AID AND FOOD HYGIENE as part of Strawberry Hill Pre-School compulsory training.

Lisa Neagle

I have three children and in 2003, I became a childminder. I met Rowena during this time and from day one, we realised that we wanted to open a Pre-school. I have my Early Years Foundation Degree (level 6). I am trained in SEND, SAFEGUARDING, FIRST AID, FOOD HYGIENE, MAKATON, MANAGING CHALLENGING BEHAVIOUR AND KIDS (OUR VISIONS AND VALUES). I'm trained to level 6.
I am the more clown like person out of Rowena and I. I enjoy running and I ran the London Marathon in 2015, raising £2000 for MS. I would like to think that I am an honest, friendly and an approachable person.

Rowena Brimacombe
(Manager) Safeguarding Officer and Deputy SEND-CO

I have three children and have been a childminder for approximately 13 years. I met Lisa through childminding. We wanted to open a Pre-school early on. With our different personalities, we knew it could work. I have completed my Early Years Foundation degree (level 6). I have also completed SAFEGUARDING, SEND, FIRST AID, CAF AWARENESS, FIRE TRAINING, FOOD HYGIENE AND MAKING IT BETTER FOR BOYS. Im a friendly and honest person and enjoy working with children and people.

Jo Meier (Nursery nurse)
Team Leader

I have two children and have also worked with children as a volunteer at Rainbows. I have also worked in adult mental health.
I have level 4 qualified and I have started level 5 of my degree in Oct 2013. I enjoy working with children and enjoy my job very much.

Hayley Wood (Deputy Manager)
Firstaider and LEAD SEND-CO

I have two young children and wanted to get into childcare. I enjoy my role very much at the pre-school.
Hayley is a much valued member of the team. She is very caring, honest, friendly and reliable.
Hayley has completed SEND-C0, FIRST AID, SAFEGUARDING AND FOOD HYGIENE in 2013 and is now our Chief First Aider.
Hayley has also now completed a course in working with down syndrome children, children with Autism. Hayley has also completed level 4 with the Open University.

Paulina Stolarczyk
Early Years Teacher

Paulina has an Early Years Teaching Degree. Paulina was with us for 2 years and left as she needed more hours. Paulina returned once the preschool opened all day. She has completed First Aid and will complete SAFEGUARDING and SEND. DBS Clear.

We are delighted that Paulina is back.

Tracy MCClure
Nursery Practitioner

Tracy is NVQ3 qualified. Tracy is very kind and gentle natured. Tracy has completed First Aid and will complete SAFEGUARDING and SEND. DBS Clear.

We are looking forward to Tracy being part of our dedicated team.

Rosemary Cotton
Nursery Nurse

Rosemary joined us in March 2014 and has completed First Aid, Safeugaurding and SEND-CO. Rosemary has experience working with children. Rosemary has a very caring nature. Rosemary works with us 5 days a week. She is also looking into starting her NVQ 3. DBS clear.

Puck Holzhaus
Nursery assistant

We are very lucky to have Puck as a volunteer. Puck is currently at university studying for a degree in music. Puck is great with the children and is a very valued team member. DBS clear.

Emmi Endqkova
Nursery Practitioner

Emmi joined us in September 2016.Emmi is originally from Bulgaria.She has lived her for nearly 6 years. Emmi is a qualified teacher and has a degree in physcology. So far Emmi has completed Safeguarding and First Aid. She will also complete SEND-CO.DBS clear.

Natalie Rigby
Nursery Practitioner

Natalie joined us in October 2016. It took a while to find Natalie as we felt that we wanted the right person to fit the team. Natalie is level 3 qualified. She has become a valued member of the team already and is great with the children. Natalie will complete Safegaurding, SEND-CO and First Aid, DBS clear.
