I would like to say Congratulations on the Nomination for the Dot Com Children's Foundation Award. Also to Rowena and Hayley for receiving their inspiring award. Well done. Luna adores all of her teachers and has made a lovely little friend there. We visited so many nursery settings and felt that Strawberry Hill Preschool always brings a lovely family feel.

This Thursday will be Bertie's last day at school this term - as I am working and Anna our nanny will be bringing him - I wanted to say a big thank you to all your team for helping Bertie feel so settled since he started in February. He talks a lot about his friends and all the teachers, he clearly is fond of them all.

We will be very sad to finish up with you in July though, Jacob has loved his time with you, he has developed so much and its been a pleasure getting to know everyone. I am sure there will be some tears (and thats just from me!) We look forward to the rest of this term and keeping up some lovely friendships in the future. .

Strawberry Pre-school is a wonderful preschool. All three of my children have been here and have thrived/ are thriving in its nurturing and warm environment. I think the frequency and quality of communication from the Preschool on what learning activities the children are doing and how your child is progressing is excellent and is complemented by more informal updates on the door. They are very hot on monitoring your child’s milestones, flagging any concerns and getting the correct support in place as well as ensuring those exceeding their milestones are challenged. I can really see the benefits of the excellent phonic sessions they do with my youngest. I was very lucky that this preschool was just opening when I was looking for a nursery place for my eldest Avie, who went here for 2 years. Many of the staff have been at the pre-school since it opened. The staff are very well qualified and the team includes an ex school teacher. Rowena, Lisa and all the team are also extremely friendly! I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent preschool! .

Dear Rowena and all the team at Strawberry Hill Pre-School! Isla has had a fantastic, happy, funand fabulous year with you. Thank you for taking such good care of her and teaching her so many things. .

Dear Lisa, I cannot believe it is time to say goodbye! Where has the last few years gone? Edie and (Theo before her) have both loved going to pre-school and that is down to you, Rowena and the rest of the team. You all do a wonderul job of creating a warm and nurturing environment. So a big thank you from me and my family. We will miss you .

To everyone at Strawberry Hill Pre-School. A Big thank you. We have enjoyed our time with you and mummy feels we come on a long way since September. We will miss you all but we are looking forward to starting our new big school. .

My boys have been really happy at Strawberry Hill, but I have been very lucky to find you too. All of the staff have taken Harry's allergies and tendency to cling to mummy in their stride and the regular feedback on how he's doing is so helpful. He loves coming to Strawberry Hill and counts the staff as some of his greatest friends. I'm sure, that, like Eric he will still remember the fun he had at preschool once he goes on to school. From my point of view, it is so lovely to feel so welcome at drop off or when coming in to join in. I can see why the children are happy as the atmosphere is remarkably calm yet full of fun. .

I couldn't be happier with my choice of nursery. The staff members are very nice, competent, welcoming and always happy to help out. I know my daughter is in safe hands and she loves going there, and enjoys all the different activities and outings.

Both my children have been through Strawberry Hill preschool and have loved it. Rowena, Lisa and the team provide a loving and nurturing environment in which my children thrived. It's everything a preschool should be and we will miss it when my youngest leaves this summer.

Dear Lisa, Rowena and your team, Thank you and congratulations on a fantastic pre-school. Avie has had a wonderful 2 years here and Leo loved his time with you. They have developed so much. We are very sad to leave but so pleased we will be back next year with Jacob.

I just wanted to pass on some positive feedback about our experience with the nursery. This is Thomas' 3rd nursery for one reason or another and for a while he had been quite spoilt having grandma to look after him all the time. In less than 4 weeks he is happily walking into nursery on his own without any fuss whatsoever, he walks out smiling and chats about what he did. I ask him if he has had a nice day and he gives me a cheeky smile and says 'Neil choo choo'.
Thanks all to those that have been involved in settling both him and us into his new routine.
Toni Ashby, October 2014
I have been very happy at how quickly Thomas has settled at your pre school. I had been prepared for lots of tears and upset but it has been on the contrary. He really loves it and he always seems excited in the mornings to put his uniform on and get his bag ready etc.. All the staff are excellent and very friendly and he seems to have an attachment to everyone and talks about you all at home. I think the lay out of the hall is excellent and there seems to be lots for the children to do, both structured and un structured. I think it is a perfect way of preparing children for a school environment and we have felt so lucky to have found somewhere we are 100% happy with to see him through to school.

My daughter, Ella, started at Strawberry Hill pre-school in January 2013 when she was 2yrs 3mths. I was really impressed at how promptly Lisa and Rowena responded to all queries which is very different from experience I had when making enquiries with other pre-schools. The atmosphere always seems to be very relaxed and supportive, which was particularly reflected when recently undergoing potty training. Ella settled in really well, and the most striking thing to me is that whatever mood she is in when I drop her off in the morning, she always comes out with a big smile, and tells me all about the fun things she has been doing. What more can you ask than that your child has the opportunity to mix with other children, try lots of different activities and has a great time whilst doing it.

My child has really blossomed in her social confidence whilst being at Strawberry Hill Pre-School. Although she settled quickly, she was very shy when she first went but in this wonderful environment has changed and become the chatty lively character that she has always been at home. We hope that she can now take this next step to nursery school with confidence socialising with a whole new group of children in a new environment. She was an early talker, loves books and has always seemed quick and eager to learn. However at least at home, whilst enjoying learning to read and write, and develop her drawing skills she seems to lack the confidence to try to do this independently (only wanting to trace over letters or have an adults guiding hand for example). We continue to encourage her and know that in time she will embrace this also. She has told me that she is excited about going to ‘big school’ and we are excited for her. Thank you!

Millie started at Strawberry Hill Pre-school in March 2011 when it was fairly new. She, along with it, has flourished over the past year and we are wholly satisfied with Millie's time here. More importantly she is very happy. Each day she excitedly reports on the 'blueberries' activities for the morning, ranging from soft play, free play, cooking, art and design, traffic club, outdoor play, field trips, story time, music time, visits from the 'reptile man', singing hands, traffic police and numerous parents with numerous talents to share. Millie also has an individual educational plan. This is based upon detailed observations of Millie that inform Rowena and Lisa of her development in all areas of the Early Years Curriculum. She has one to one teaching in the quiet area of the pre-school, that is based upon her own needs and interests. This structure is not compulsory for her - if Millie wants to play, then she can - she is after all, 3 years old!
The staff at the pre-school are highly qualified and come from a variety of backgrounds, for instance, Neil who is the sports coordinator and Ann who specialises in art, design and crafts. This adds huge variety to each morning. As much as the staff are qualified they are caring, and have added real meaning to Millie's everyday life. She adores the staff and talks about them often at home. She will often pretend that she is Rowena or Jo and we have to sit and have the register taken at home - the dog included! The staff meet and greet at the door each morning and also come and speak to the waiting mums and dads at the end of the session.
More recently when we were expecting our second child the whole team rallied to support us with extra childcare, words of wisdom and special attention to Millie in the time of transition. The other mums and dads on the 'school gate' are all really supportive too, completing the fantastic community feel of Strawberry Hill Pre-School.
Strawberryhill Pre-School is situated in a lovely setting. There is a community feel to the school. Lisa and Rowena have been very friendly, supportive and encouraging since my initial enquiry about having Megan at their school. I was 'sold' when I saw how happy Megan looked there! Lisa and Rowena's suggestion in slowly introducing Megan to pre-school on an hourly/weekly basis has been fantastic because it has given Megan a chance to get to know them and the other children. It won't be such a shock when she starts her two mornings a week properly in two weeks time!!! Sarah Cassandro
Sam and I sit down for lunch together everyday afetr pre-school and I quiz him on what he has done that morning today, who he has played with and what he liked doing best. In his words "I did lots of things mummy. I play with Alex,Matthew, Molly, Olivia and Rowena. I like them. Alex is my best Friend". In the evenings, when tucking him into bed, we talk about what is going to happen the next day - on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings we get a scream of delight when we announce "its playgroup tomorrow!" - almost the same level of hysteria when, on Friday evenings, Daddy tells Sam that he will be home for 2 days!
I would personally like to say Thankyou to Lisa and Rowena for ensuring Sam settled into the preschool so quickly and easily. It was a tough time for our little boy, with the arrival of his baby sister just a few weeks earlier, but Sam thoroughly enjoys his sessions and constantly talks about the new friends he has made. The settling sessions work really well and the range of activities and play stations are so varied that we have had to buy a dolly and pushchair for home now as he misses them on Mondays and Fridays! We have seen a huge change in our son since he has been attending the preschool and it has certainly made a positive impact on his personality - he has become more gregarious in all that he does - and more accepting of his baby sister! Thank-you Rowena and Lisa.... >
Rowena and Lisa are so caring about all the children at Strawberry Hill Pre-school and this is really reflected in the way Olivia talks about her day there. We have to make a story up every night at bedtime about a little girl who goes to nursery and has lots of fun with 'Woena and her friend Summer'. Olivia loves her new friends and talks non-stop the entire scoot home about what she's done that day. When quizzed about her best activity, it's always baking, which is done every week.
I wouldn't hesitate to encourage any parent to bring their child to the pre-school and join in the fun!

Monday - Mummy am I going to pre-school today? Tuesday - Mummy am I going to pre-school today? Wednesday - Mummy am I going to pre-school today? Thursday - Mummy am I going to pre-school today? Friday - Mummy am I going to pre-school today (On a Friday my answer is No)! BUT MUMMY I WANT TO GO TO PRE-SCHOOL!!! The same applies on Saturday and Sunday. Summer loves the pre-school and wants to always show Jo (the nursery nurse) what she has bought or made. She talks about Alex and Olivia. She really enjoys it.
Lisa Neagle, 14/5/2011
The care is exceptional as are the activities that the children take part in, ie, cooking and art work. The pre-school has a lovely atmosphere.
Penny Wynch, 18/7/2011
Thanks so much for a fantastic term and a lovely end to it today. It was really special.
All the best and thanks again to you all for everything. Maisy loves the pre-school and it really is a friendly, nurturing environment.
Hi Rowena and Lisa,
Just wanted to say thank you for organising a great night, really enjoyed meeting some of the other mums (and dads). On another note, Theo seems to have settled into life at strawberry hill really well and I love the enthusiasm and creativity you put into everything you do so thank you.
